Scientists for Nature 2026: A Quantum Leap for Biodiversity
Families for Nature is proud to introduce the six selected scientists of the 4th Scientists for Nature Challenge, taking place during the 75th anniversary of the Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings.
This year marked a record response to the challenge, with submissions from more than 25 countries - bringing together an exceptional international group of young scientists and Lindau alumni working on bold new approaches to biodiversity, restoration, ecosystems, and climate resilience.
Meet the finalists of ‘A Quantum Leap for Biodiversity’:
- Ching Lam Choi (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) – Listening Beyond the Human
- Nicole Foster (CEAB) – Scaling Blue Carbon Restoration
- Dr. Nader Marzban (Leibniz Institute for Agricultural Engineering and Bioeconomy – ATB) – Artificial Peat Technology
- Anna Faber (The University of Western Australia) – Nature’s Fastest Growing Organism
- Dr. Soressa Chala (Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz) – Closing the Carbon–Nitrogen Loop
- Arsenii Hordeichyk (Technical University of Munich) – SoilSeed

On 29 June 2026, the finalists will present their ideas during the Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings in front of the Scientists for Nature community. Scientists for Nature was created around a simple idea: that breakthrough science deserves more than recognition. It deserves a community.
