Families for Nature at OxTech Week 2026

Families for Nature recently had the privilege of participating in the inaugural Oxford Tech Week, bringing together founders, investors, scientists, philanthropists, and innovators from around the world.

A particular highlight was hosting the session Unlocking Climate–Biodiversity Synergies: The Nature-based Solutions Initiative together with the Nature-based Solutions Initiative (NbSI) at the University of Oxford. Led by Prof. Nathalie Seddon, Dr. Aline Soterroni, and Dr. Jennifer Lucey, the discussion explored how nature-based solutions can help address the interconnected challenges of climate change, biodiversity loss, and sustainable development.

Together with Mishcon de Reya, we also co-hosted a Private Capital & Innovation Forum exploring the role of philanthropy, venture philanthropy, entrepreneurship, and science in improving lives and safeguarding our planet.

We would like to thank Christiaan de Koning and Michael Collyer for their leadership in launching Oxford Tech Week and for creating a platform that fosters meaningful collaboration across sectors.

What stood out most throughout the week was Oxford's unique ability to bring together world-class science, entrepreneurial talent, private capital, and a genuine willingness to collaborate across disciplines.
